Supervisory Committee Volunteers Needed! We are seeking volunteers to serve on our Supervisory Committee which is responsible for ensuring the credit union operates within regulatory guidelines. This position requires thoroughness and attention to detail.  Regulatory and cybersecurity knowledge is not required but is a plus. Many of our current Board members have previously served on our Supervisory Committee. Scholarships and Grants

NEFCU is committed to supporting our local communities. That’s why we have awarded over one million dollars in scholarship and grant programs to support educational endeavors. We offer programs targeted at high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate college students, as well as educators and school administrators. Find an opportunity below to apply:

Opportunities for High School Seniors

Premier Scholarship

Application Period: May 1 – July 15

NEFCU's Premier Scholarship awards one (1) $50,000 scholarship paid out over four years.

Application Requirements:

  • Completed essay on assigned topic (the essay topic is available on the application page)
  • Unofficial school transcript
  • Documented proof of fifty (50) hours of community service

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This scholarship is only offered to applicants of our Family Scholarship. Family applicants need not be winners to be eligible or apply.
  • Student must have a four year overall high school GPA of 90 or above
  • Student must complete fifty (50) hours of community service
  • Student must participate in three (3) extracurricular activities and/or sports
  • Student applicant must be a NEFCU member to be an eligible applicant. (An account can be opened with a simple $5 deposit. Open your account online, in a branch or by phone.)

Deadline: July 15

Additional Notes:
Only one Premier scholarship type awarded per student. Winning student is required to maintain a GPA of 3.50 each year to receive scholarship. Winners will be announced 6–8 weeks following the application deadline.
